At the Heart of Hartmann&Forbes – Safety by Design
November spotlights Child Safety, but for us, safety and health are at the forefront of everything we do, every day of the year.  We make key decisions throughout the design, weaving, and crafting process of our natural windowcoverings to ensure our products do not endanger those around them. Our Safety by Design™ Initiative is meant to communicate these safety considerations.

Our Dedication to Safety
We remain steadfast in our dedication to make windowcoverings that meet or exceed safety guidelines as prescribed by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Window Covering Manufacturers Association (WCMA). We conduct ongoing testing to ensure that our windowcoverings are safe to operate, and continually strive to research and engineer innovative solutions and techniques to further improve shade safety.

Contributing to In-Home Health
We minimize the use of additives that may off-gas and reduce indoor air quality. We use natural techniques to achieve rich color tones and low or no VOC paints, stains, and adhesives whenever possible. As a result, our products have a minimal impact on air quality within an interior environment.

Cordless Innovations
Our award-winning Rollerfold™ Style combines the aesthetic beauty of a roman-fold shade with the sleek performance and child safety features of a Roller Style shade. This patented-innovative style is Best for Kids Certified when automated. Learn more.

Our Cordless Rollershade is operated by a smooth, silent spring system and delivers a simple and safe solution for spaces that solicit a cordless choice. With one easy pull, this rollershade lifts in a quiet and controlled motion. Learn more.

Eliminating all pull-cords with shade automation is the ultimate in safe, intelligent, and effortless shade functionality. Learn more.

Interior Design Magazine’s Best of Year Awards is now open for voting. We have submitted our Studio Concepts Collection to be considered. Please show your support by voting in the category “Window Treatments.”

Studio Concepts is an archetype weave in the making – A concept is an abstract notion or general idea. An archetype is an original pattern or first prototype. Studio Concepts is a fusion of these two ideas founded by artistic curiosity and aimed at presenting a grouping of individual limited-edition designs. Custom handwoven to the size of the window and offered in 4 designs. Explore Studio Concepts.

Voting is live on the Interior Design Best of Year voting site through October 9th. We encourage you to vote once per day.

“We have drawn our inspiration from this view of nature, and executed our design with a nod to both classicism and a little of the far east. References to flowers are evident in the art, furniture and lighting. We are using geodes as accent pieces, botanical prints frame the bed wall, integrated with architectural moldings and an accent wallpaper depicting clouds is featured in the bathroom,” said Mikulich to Aspire Design & Home.
