Tools Required:
• Power Driver with
1/2" Extension Hex or Phillips Bit
• 1/16" Drill Bit if pre-drilling
• Pencil
INSIDE/VERTICAL MOUNT
STEP 1
Slide the bracket cover over the bracket.
STEP 2
Align mounting brackets in the window casement to the desired location and mark the holes with a pencil. If fitting within a narrow window jamb, measure the roll diameter of the shade and align brackets within the jamb to half the roll diameter measurement plus 1/4" away from the window for clearance.
STEP 3
Remove bracket covers. With feet facing inward, install brackets at marked locations using #8 x 1-1/2" wood screws. (repeat bracket installation on the other side of the window).
STEP 4
Snap base plate covers onto brackets to cover installation screws.
STEP 5
Snap the idler pin into the bracket opposite the clutch or motor location.
NOTE: If the clutch or motor is right, the idler pin will be left with the H&F metal label on hembar facing the window.
STEP 6
Hold up the rollershade and slide the end onto the idler pin.
NOTE: Two people will be required for larger shades.
STEP 7
While continuing to hold the shade onto the idler bracket, snap the clutch or motor into the bracket. Confirm shade is level for proper operation.
NOTE: If shade is not level, use H&F provided levelling shims to level shade.
STEP 8
Reinstall bracket covers over each bracket.
STEP 9
INSIDE MOUNT TENSION DEVICE
With flat side of tension device flush against the window jamb, pull straight down until control loop is taut and plunger spring is fully contracted. Then move tension device up approximately 1/8" to relieve stress on control loop. Mark for screw holes through the tension device.
STEP 10
Sink pilot holes, then install tension device with two provided long wood screws.
OUTSIDE/HORIZONTAL MOUNT
STEP 1
Determine bracket location based on shade dimensions. Mark the bracket location using a laser level as a guide.
STEP 2
Install brackets with feet facing inward at marked locations using #8 x 1½" wood screws and/or appropriate fasteners.
STEP 3
Snap base plate covers onto brackets to cover installation screws.
STEP 4
Snap the idler pin into the bracket opposite the clutch or motor location
NOTE: If the clutch or motor is right, this will be left with the H&F metal label on hembar facing the window.
STEP 5
Hold up the rollershade and slide the end onto the idler.
NOTE: Two people will be required for larger shades.
STEP 6
While continuing to hold the shade onto the idler bracket, snap the clutch or motor into the bracket.
STEP 7
Confirm shade and brackets are level. If not level, adjust brackets accordingly for proper shade operation.
STEP 8
Install bracket covers over each bracket.
STEP 9
OUTSIDE MOUNT TENSION DEVICE
Place tension device onto clear bracket. Holding bracket against wall or casing, pull tension device down until control loop is taut and plunger spring is fully contracted. Then move tension device up approximately 1/8" to relieve stress on control loop. Mark for screw holes through the tension device bracket.
STEP 10
Remove tension device from bracket. Align bracket with pencil marking. Sink pilot holes, then install device with two provided long wood screws.
STEP 11
Press tension device onto mounting bracket posts. Secure with two provided short screws through tension device into mounting bracket.
REMOVAL
ROLLERSHADE REMOVAL
Remove motor side of Rollershade by gently using a small flat screwdriver to pry loose and then slide away from the bracket.
BASE PLATE REMOVAL
To remove the base plate cover to expose screws, slide a small flat screwdriver into the base plate cut out. Twist until it loosens.
