Ultra Clutch

Installation Instructions

Follow the instructions below for the easy installation of an Ultra Clutch Rollershade system. If you have any challenges, please contact Customer Relations at 888.582.8780 or hfcr@hartmannforbes.com for assistance.

 

Tools Required:

• Power Driver w/ 1/2" Extension Hex or Phillips Bit • 1⁄16" Drill Bit if pre-drilling • Pencil

STEP 1

Slide bracket cover over the bracket.

STEP 2

Align mounting brackets in the windows casement to the desired location and mark the holes with a pencil.

STEP 3

Remove bracket cover and install brackets at marked locations so that the feet face inward using #8 x 1-1/2" wood screws (repeat bracket installation on the other side of the window).

STEP 4

Snap base plate covers onto brackets to cover installation screws.

STEP 5

Snap idler pin into the bracket that is opposite the clutch location (if the clutch is right, this will be left).

STEP 6

Hold up rollershade and slide end onto the idler.

STEP 7

While continuing to hold shade onto the idler bracket, snap clutch into the bracket (note: for larger shades two humans will be required).

STEP 8

Re-install bracket covers over each bracket.

STEP 9

To finish the installation, follow the Safety Device Installation Instructions.

  

 

Removal

BRACKET COVER REMOVAL

Remove bracket cover by gently using a small flat screwdriver to gently pry loose and then slide away from the bracket.

BASE PLATE REMOVAL

To remove the base plate cover to expose screws, slide a small flat screwdriver into the base plate cut out. Twist until it loosens.
