For the ninth consecutive year, we have been named by Oregon Business magazine as one of the state’s “100 Best Green Workplaces,” logging in at number #21 in 2020. Considering we’re in Oregon, known for its environmental awareness, we couldn’t be more proud or motivated to continually improve our standing.
Our commitment to sustainability was recognized in 2016 by Washington County, Oregon’s Solid Waste and Recycling Program. Whether in distant lands or right here at home, leaving a smaller footprint has always been our focus. Thanks to everyone who helps support our initiatives.
In 2006, we launched the Take-Back Initiative— the first-of-its-kind in our industry—to collect used windowcoverings from our clients. Any shades that are fit to be reused are donated to The ReBuilding Center in Portland. Those that cannot be reused are disassembled and the shade’s fabric and components are recycled when possible.
Each year, we enjoy supporting SOLVE’s mission to bring Oregonians together to improve our environment and build a legacy of stewardship, joining thousands of volunteers to remove tons of litter and marine debris from the Oregon coast.
Hartmann&Forbes was founded on supporting a healthy ecology. Because we’re invested in minimizing all aspects our company’s footprint, recycling is essential. We’re excited to be working hand-in-hand with those in our community who share our sense of responsibility.
